FinKasi · Money. Made Simple.

Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 October 2026 · v1.0

FinKasi helps you keep household money and records together. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we ask of you.

1. Who we are and this agreement

FinKasi is operated by FinKasi Technologies (Pty) Ltd, registration 2026/727057/07. Contact us by email at hello@finkasi.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed. If you act for a household or business, you must have authority to do so.

2. Who can use FinKasi

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding agreement. Give accurate information and use the service only where you may lawfully do so.

3. The service today

Receipt tracking, budgets and ledgers are free to use, with tools for events, building projects, rental statements and expense claims. Household staff tools are in early access by invitation; requesting access is not automatic approval. Available tools and channels are those shown in your account.

4. Accounts and security

Sign in using Google or an email link. Keep your email account, device, sign-in links and private worker links secure. Do not share a sign-in link or let others use your account without authority. Tell us promptly about suspected misuse at hello@finkasi.com.

5. Shared ledgers and invited users

You decide whom to invite and must have permission to use their contact details. Access depends on each person's role; accountants and contributors have restricted access. Personal ledgers remain private to their owners. Review invitations and remove access when it is no longer appropriate. Removing access cannot retrieve copies someone lawfully downloaded earlier.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of your receipts, images and other content. You grant FinKasi and its service operators a limited permission to store, read, process, display and share that content as necessary to provide the service and follow your authorised sharing choices. You must have the right and lawful basis to upload it, including staff and beneficiary information.

7. Check the details and meet your obligations

Automatic receipt reading can make mistakes. Review merchants, dates, amounts, tax and categories before relying on a record. Correct errors and keep original documents where required.

Payslips, UIF, COIDA, leave, bonus and “what I'd owe” figures are calculation aids, not legal, tax or labour advice. The employer remains responsible for accurate inputs, lawful wages, paying staff and meeting UIF/COIDA obligations and deadlines. Seek qualified advice where needed; an estimate, reminder or checklist is not proof that an obligation has been met.

8. UIF practitioner authority

Where you sign an authority, FinKasi may assist as the appointed practitioner only within the recorded wording and verified linking/registration status. You must review paperwork and supply accurate information. Government submission remains a human action, not an automated login. Never give us your uFiling password. You can revoke authority in the UIF assistance tools or contact hello@finkasi.com; revocation stops further assisted actions and queues removal of the practitioner link, but does not cancel filings already made or your statutory duties.

9. FinKasi Credits

Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and currently cannot be redeemed or withdrawn. Any rand figure is indicative, not a payment entitlement. Eligible activities, caps, levels and multipliers depend on the programme shown in your account. Awards are pending for seven days, may be voided for invalid activity and expire after twelve months without confirmed earning, with a thirty-day warning. Deleting an eligible slip during its pending period can void the related pending award. Rules may change with notice; cover, insurance and debit mandates do not earn credits.

10. Referrals

Referrals are subject to the eligibility, qualification and anti-abuse rules shown in the app; sending an invitation alone does not guarantee credits. Do not refer yourself, create duplicate accounts or send unwanted invitations. Referral recipients can decline and opt out; awards can be held for review or voided for abuse.

11. Funeral cover interest

Funeral cover is not currently offered. Registering interest is not an application, insurance advice, a policy or cover. No benefit or payment obligation arises from registering interest. Any future offering will require separately approved information and terms.

12. Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content, misuse another person's information, falsify records, abuse invitations or credits, interfere with security, bypass access controls or overload the service. Do not use FinKasi to mislead workers, authorities or other users.

13. Fees

Current free receipt, budget and ledger features remain free unless we give notice of a change before it applies. Household staff early-access pricing is agreed separately. We will not treat a request for access or cover interest as acceptance of a paid service. Any separately agreed paid service is subject to its disclosed pricing and terms.

14. Availability and changes

We work to keep FinKasi available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Maintenance, network issues and external services can cause delays. Keep copies of important records and do not rely only on a reminder for a legal deadline. We may improve or change features and will give appropriate notice of material changes.

15. Responsibility and your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information you provide, unauthorised sharing by you, or your failure to check records or meet obligations. This does not exclude liability for our fraud, gross negligence or other liability the law does not allow us to exclude.

Where you agree to a paid service with us separately, the terms of that agreement, including any limits of liability, apply to that service in addition to these terms.

16. Stopping use and account deletion

You may stop using FinKasi at any time. To request account deletion, email hello@finkasi.com from your account's email address. We verify the request and complete deletion within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions in our Privacy Policy and other ledger users' lawful records. Backups are cleared as they roll over.

We may restrict or suspend access for serious misuse or security risks, with notice where appropriate. Deletion may not remove records needed by other lawful ledger users, employers or authorities, or records we must retain. Ask us before deleting records you need for statutory duties.

17. South African law

South African law governs these terms. Disputes are subject to the competent South African courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights or your ability to use an applicable regulator or dispute-resolution process.

18. Contact and changes to these terms

For help or questions, contact hello@finkasi.com; privacy requests go to hello@finkasi.com. We will update this page's date and version and give appropriate notice of material changes. Separately agreed service terms continue to apply to those services.
